Forged Steel Piston Lift Check Valve

VERVO Piston and ball check valves serve the purpose of preventing the reversal of flow in a pipeline, similar to other types of check valves. In the case of Piston, or lift, check valves, a disc guided by the valve body moves inside the bore of the body. The body guide guarantees that the seat and disc remain aligned when the valve is closed.

PISTON CHECK VALVE 
The valve is opened by the pressure of the fluid passing through the system, and it will close when there is a reversal of flow. In Piston or lift check valves, a disc guided by the body moves within the bore. The body guide ensures that the seat and disc align when the valve closes. The valve is installed with the flow underneath the disc, so that the pressure and flow rate from the inlet line will lift the disc off the seat and allow the fluid to flow through the valve. If the flow suddenly reverses, the disc will automatically and rapidly be forced to the closed position, aided by its weight, to prevent the fluid from flowing back. Caution should be exercised when using these valves with dirty media, as it may cause the disc to become stuck inside the bore.

BALL CHECK VALVE 
Ball check valves function similarly to piston check valves, except that they employ a "ball" within the valve body to regulate fluid movement. The ball has the freedom to rotate, promoting uniform wear and facilitating a wiping action between the ball and the seat. This characteristic renders ball check valves particularly advantageous when dealing with viscous substances.
